Karmyogi Certificate 2025: Ayodhya Health Department Staff Must Pass Online Exam to Get July Salary

In a significant move by the Health Department, employees in Ayodhya must now clear an online exam to receive their July salaries. The test, conducted through the Karmayogi portal, has been made mandatory under the directive of Director General of Medical and Health Services, Dr. Ratanpal Singh Suman.

This new requirement aims to assess the professional efficiency of doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and even Class IV staff. Without passing this test, salaries for July will not be processed — a rule that has created a rush among staff to prepare.

What is the Karmayogi Certificate?

The Karmayogi certificate is part of a central government initiative to ensure continuous learning and skill development among government employees. For health department workers, this means taking a role-specific online exam hosted on the Karmayogi portal. The test includes 10 questions, and candidates must answer all correctly to pass. Even one incorrect answer means failure, although two re-attempts are allowed.

Hospitals Turn Into Study Hubs

From the district hospital to women’s healthcare centres, doctors and employees can be seen preparing hard — some glued to desktop screens, others browsing their phones for answers. The atmosphere feels more like an exam centre than a hospital. Staff members are taking the test between duties, fully focused on securing their certificate before the deadline.

“So far, around 80% of our team has cleared the exam and received their certificates. The rest are on track to complete it within the month,”
Dr. Ajay Chaudhary, Superintendent, District Hospital Ayodhya

Progress at Women’s Hospital

At the Women’s Hospital in Ayodhya, things are also moving steadily.

“More than half of our staff have successfully passed the exam and obtained the certificate. Daily sessions are ongoing for the rest,”
Dr. Vibha Kumari, Chief Medical Superintendent

Why This Matters

This move reflects a larger trend in governance — performance-linked evaluation, even in essential services. The Karmayogi portal isn’t just a technical requirement; it’s being seen as a tool for accountability and professional growth.

While some employees are under pressure, many see it as a chance to brush up on their skills and prove their dedication to public service.
